How to Create a Christmas Bible Scavenger Hunt

Christmas Bible Scavenger HuntWant a fun Christmas Bible scavenger hunt activity to help your children remember the true reason for the season? Try this out the night before Christmas.

Make a regular Riddle Me hunt of at least 10 clues. Copy and paste the list of scriptures below into your word processor and print them out. Using tape, attach one scripture segment below to each clue in numerical order. Then set up the Bible scavenger hunt and let the journey begin.

As the hunt progresses, feel free to pause the players and discuss what an amazing journey Mary and Joseph were on that brought them to the birth of their Son. At the end of the hunt, perhaps allow the children to open one present in remembrance that the wise men brought gifts to Jesus.

You can also have everyone dress up like characters from the Bible story for added mood enhancement. This Bible scavenger hunt is sure to be a hit.

Luke 2

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
